This is THE END

I've been wanting to post this for the last two weeks. So here it is

THIS IS THE END.

I don't want it to be the end, but that's how I feel. I'm in a real slump at the moment, please send me some encouragement, and some PMA, I really need it.

What do you want to see here?

What do you want me to post about?

What do you like to see best on a blog post?

PS - PMA = Positive Mental Attitude

Chris, it is NEVER the end!!! As long as one is alive there is always a way out. Last July I had a heart attack and even then it was not the end, as I'm still here!
If you are not up to x stitch at the moment write about other things, even what is happening to you and around you: there are always friends out there that want to know about you -Me included.

Hang in there...Your mojo will return!!!

Oh dear Chris, please don't stop posting. I'm not sure I have a lot of PMA to spare but I'll send what I can!
I love seeing pictures of your lovely stitching and a bit of chat about day to day things is nice too. It doesn't have to be often but please don't stop.

So sorry you're in such a slump Chris (hugs).
I don't really have any words of advice I'm afraid, but I do know how you feel.
Just post when you can, and I hope you feel better soon.

Hello Chris,

Come on, the winter is over.
It's Spring, a new beginning.
Start a new project and let us see how you are doing.
Excuses for my English,I hope you understand what I mean. I am a Dutch woman.

I've always believed that you should blog for yourself, not for anyone else. And write about what you want to write about.

Some days that could be stitching, other days it could be crafting, work or family.

Sometimes you hit a slump and don't want to blog at all, and that's okay too. Like anything you'll come out of the other side of the slump and blog/write again when you feel like it.

I am sorry that you are discouraged. I love seeing all of your projects. You have a beautiful blog.
Spring will be home soon and maybe things will be looking up. Maybe you need to start a new project!?
I hope to see more posts from you that will inspire me:)

Did you feel it? I sent you over positive thoughts! Hang in there....whatever has taken your mojo will run its course. Stitching should be a pleasure and a release and a way to express yourself. Hope you are feeling upbeat again soon. As far as what I like to see in a blog.....I love seeing progress photos, photos of different finishes, photos of home decor. I would you just post about what you feel....being it up or down....be it happy or sad.....you will be amazed at the support from your sisters in stitching. I get to where you sound like you are when I am overwhelmed with tasks and obligations. Hang in there and hope you are feeling upbeat real soon.

I have just had a real rough couple of weeks and hadn't blogged for nearly a month, but just putting my latest post up (even with no pictures) has helped heaps :)

I love to read your stitching posts. Why did you decide to stop it? Sounds very sad...

A lot of positive energy to you :)

Best wishes,
Tatyana

I think you need to do something for yourself that you enjoy. Everybody gets down with life's issues and it is hard to feel like doing anything sometimes let alone have energy for stitching. Not to mention it can appear at times that everyone else's life is going great at a time when maybe yours isn't. Hope you find something soon to cheer you up! Spring is coming at least and that may help.

Please don't give up blogging Chris, I love seeing what you're stitching! I've been through several blogging slumps and end up posting eventually. Just post when you want to, it's supposed to be fun, not a chore. i'll always come back to see what you are up to.

I think you are doing just fine with your blogging. You have such a variety of projects that you work on and they are all lovely. Your "random" pictures of the snow are quite beautiful. It just sounds to me like you need a little time off to rest up from all that has been going on. I do not think you need to post every day or even every week. Your readers will stop by to see if you have posted and if not, we will check again later. Sometimes things just run their course. So if you have come to a "writer's block" just get on with your beautiful cross-stitches and when you have a few new things done you will feel like blogging again. I hope your mother-in-law is doing okay and that you can put that stress behind you. Have a cup of tea. That usually fixes everything.

I love reading the progresses. I always see something new I want to start and I get ideas from reading blogs. I get in a slump too and need a break now and again from blogging. Show what you are watching on TV or movies, also if you are reading any books.

Sometimes you just need to take a break from the blog, I've done it in the past and felt slightly guilty until I realized that I do it mostly to document what I enjoy. So what I like about other people's blog is seeing what they find interesting, whether that's a project they're working on, or the changing landscape of their home, yard or town. Sometimes it just nice to read what others are doing and get inspired.

I hope that helps and I hope to see something that interest you soon!

Hello Chris,

I see that there are no comments on your post. But that is not true. I tried several times to connect and write some positive encouraging words.
I don't know if you recieved post.
I am dutch, living in the Netherlands and didn't know the right words to say, but you are in my thoughts and my prayers and I hope you will come through this miserable period.

huggs and kisses, Dalia

I know how you feel. I really enjoy seeing pictures of the area where you live and just hearing about daily living. I live in NE Florida and find the differences very interesting. I haven't put anything on my blog in ages because I haven't felt I've had anything to share either, but just plain old daily living things are interesting when you're in a different country. Of course, stitching, cooking, gardening things are always great too! Hang in there!

I'm still here and reading, although my general level of energy doesn't let me comment on many blogs. I would love to read whatever you have to say, but as a long time blogger, I must say that unless you are making a living of what you write, you really shouldn't do this for anyone but yourself. I too disappear, sometimes for several months, but then get back onto blogging simply because I enjoy having my opinions and experiences posted for all to see. If it doesn't make you happy in any way, you really shouldn't force yourself to blog.

Having said that, I hope that you will decide to carry on when you feel ready. I will read whatever you decide to share.
