Dyeing linen

Today I decided to have a go at dyeing some 40ct linen. I only have white in 40ct, and I really wanted it to be darker, so with the help of tea leaves from the bottom of this mornings pot, here's the colour of my new fabric. It's laid on top of the original white just so you can see the difference. I'm really pleased with the result, and it was so quick and easy to do, I'll certainly be giving it another go. This linen is likely to be used in a Christmas project I have planned. More about that another time.

You're fabric turned out great! I'm still too chicken to try it. But I think that after the Christmas rush I'm going to try my hand at it and see how it goes.

Looks a great colour. Am working up to having a go at this some time. Looking forward to seeing what those stitching plans are. :0)

Chris,
I absolutely positively love the color it has come out. It is so soft and subtle. But can I ask you please whether the fabric shrunk at all or not. that's what I would be worried about because stitching over one on 40ct is just about manageable. Is it still manageable - with magnifying lamp of course.
Lots of Love

Chris, I have to tell you that your linen is beautiful! You had made me the Mermaid piece inthe HoE Exchange earlier this year. That still is one of my favorite exchange pieces!! AND, the tan dyed fabric you included in the exchange has been used on 4 Christmas ornaments!! 4 of them!! So, thank you from the bottom of my heart and keep up the great work dyeing fabric... I love them!!
