A new bracelet

Today I went to a beading workshop, and this is what we made, a peyote stitch bracelet with a picot edge and a beaded toggle fastening.

I've not been around the pc much this week, as I was struck down with a cold middle of the week, it started on Tuesday night with a sore throat and painful ear, and now I just need to take a box of tissues everywhere with me - such fun. I thought I'd been doing well to avoid this as ds had it the other week, and ended up with antibiotics, and then dd has had it for two weeks. Anyway I'll catch up eventually, and I'm hoping that this cold had something to do with why I felt so down for a couple of weeks before it landed. So fingers crossed, and now I'm off to collapse in the chair by the fire. Hope everyone else is well.

Lovely bracelet.

Keep your cough drops and tissues handy. Get lots of sleep and drink peppermint tea until you slosh. It might not help you get well any faster, but it sure can't hurt. :)

I've only just gotten a hang of peyote stitch; need to complete the bracelet I did at a class :)

Will be posting photos of my most recent beading finish on my blog (soon as the sun comes up enough to catch the sparkle in the beads) a beaded bookmark!

Working on a paua bracelet too.

Yay!!! You like cross stitch AND beading ^___^
