Mini band sampler

No update pic today, I just didn't stitch at all yesterday. I spent way too much time browsing on Ebay, and for someone on the stash wagon that was not a good idea. Guess what? I fell off. And well and truly fell off. Sorry, to those I was on it with. It's just I was really, really fed up. I got some charts, but they're all smallish, and some fabric.
Anyway, this small sampler I stitched recently, I think it was last month, and today I finally made a tassel and attached it to a hanger. The design is by Liberty Street Designs, and I found this small cut of fabric band amongst my stash, which matched perfectly. However, when I'd finished it I realised I'd stitched on the wrong side of the band. With all those eyelets, and beads on it, I thought best not to frog it. I'm still happy with it, at least it will be unique. The hanger I bought for another bellpull I finished earlier this year, but when it arrived it just looked far too small, but seemed perfect for this.
And to Anonymous - thanks for leaving a message on my blog, and asking me to contact you, unfortunately as you're anonymous I can't do it, I have no idea who you are, and don't think I belong MSCSG, but would love to know why my blog was on there.

Day 15

And still she grows. I was a bit fed up yesterday, and picked this up and put it down a couple of times, but managed to get some more stitches done. I'm looking forward to the end, although I know it's a long way off. I'm hoping not to get too distracted. It's just that everyone keeps posting some really nice pictures.
I'm hoping to get my wish list up soon, but I just don't know where to start, as I have fare too many likes! I desperately need to destash too.

Day 14

Well, yesterday was a Bank Holiday here in the UK, so I made some time for stitching. And as you can see, I've made great progress. Although I still haven't added any beads.

Day 13

Well, can you believe I'm already into Week 3. Anyway here she is after night 13, not much progress last night. But I've made up for it today, so don't forget to check back tomorrow night to see how much more I've got done.
Thanks for all your comments, and there'll definately be beads on it soon.

Day 12 update pic

Day 12 and still growing. I'm still enjoying this, and glad I started on it. I don't have a lot to say, as the more time I'm on here, the less time I have for stitching.
I've had a lovely day out today. We went to Duncombe Park at Helmsley, then walked around Helmsley, and then to Wolds Way Lavender before heading home. And here in Yorkshire the sun has appeared, and we've had another Summers day.

Day 11 update

There seems a lot more colour in this picture, maybe it's because the sun was out. We had a summers day here, for a change.

Day 9 and Day 10

Well, here's more progress pics. Now on Tuesday night I was home from work two hours later than usual, so I had no time for stitching.

Wednesday night, I was able to find a little time for stitching.

I should add that although these pics are small, they are clickable to huge!

And this is the progress after Thursday night, I was really tired so I didn't do much. Although, I am amazed by the progress you see by taking daily photo's, it really spurs me on.

I now have 10 days off work, so hope to find time for stitching, although I have lots of things I want to do, I hope to have free time on the evenings for stitching. I would love to be able to get some beads on this.

Day 8

Well this is the progress after last nights stitching. Some of you may have noticed that I'm a day out, and really we should be on Day 9. Well that is because on Sunday, I went out for the day, I went to Whitby Museum to have a look at their antique samplers. They have lots that are not on display, and we went for a private viewing of the one's not on display, and they have many. It took up most of the day, by the time I got home, I was too tired for any stitching. So this is progress after Day 8 of stitching, if that helps. LOL

And for those who have asked, I'm stitching on 32 ct Linen, in a gorgeous pale aqua, I wish you could see the colour. I'm not sure of it's official name/colour as I bought the pattern on Ebay, and although it wasn't a kit, it came with the fabric, kreiniks and beads. I just added the DMC. I debated about cutting the fabric as it has a very generous allowance on each side, but I've left if complete.

Day 7

Just a little bit more, she's taking shape now. I'm looking forward to getting some colour on her soon. I've not said who she is yet, but I think most people have guessed by now. Let me know if you haven't. And thanks for watching.

Day 6

Here she is after Day 6, as you can see I got a lot more done, as I didn't have to go to work, and the card making I go to was cancelled. I'm really enjoying this.
I will try and keep up the daily photo's as people are telling me they like to see them.

Day 5

I can't believe it's Day 6 already. I know I've put Day 5, but that's because this is a photo as of last night. As I work during the day, my stitching is done at night. Friday is my day off, and I normally go card making on Friday afternoons, but I got a phone call this morning to say it was cancelled, yippee-more stitching time. So I'm quickly on here posting the pic for the end of yesterday, then I should have even more stitching time tonight.

Day 4 progress

Well, here's another pic after last nights stitching. I didn't stitch for as long as I intended last night, as I put it down to watch something on the TV. I'm amazed at how much I got done though, but I was only stitching with a couple of shades compared to the previous nights. I'm not sure whether I'll keep a daily update, but will try my best. I've gone AWOL from my groups for a short time, as pc time eats into stitching time, and I've not been able to catch up on my groups since I came back from my hols.

Day 3 progress pic

Well, I sat down last night and frogged the wrong colour, ( I mean the bit I'd stitched in the wrong colours) and ended up frogging some of the right colour too! Anyway, then I restitched and hopefully it's all right now. Fingers crossed!

Day 2

Well here is progress pic No. 2, although I had to give up last night sooner than I intended thanks to my eyes giving in to a migraine. And I have just spotted that the frog remains, some of the light brown I stitched on the first night is the wrong shade, I don't know how that happened. Anyone know what it is yet?

And as promised a couple of more pics from the hols. These were taken at Kielder Water.

And for those who asked, Alnwick Castle was used in the making of the HP films. So you may spot some of the detail of the outside of the castle in the films (maybe in Quidditch matches), but I think most of the inside was a purpose built studio, but certainly the odd bit of the inside is in the films.

The Calling

For a long time now this has been calling me, every time I looked in a stitching box, this was shouting at me. I did not really want to start anything else, as I really would like to get MIX finished, and work more on my HAED, which I've barely started. However, I have finally given in, I kitted it up last night, and this is last nights stitching. Anyone know what it is?

The previous post was Alnwick Castle (Hogwarts for all you HP people). I also read the first 3 HP books whilst I was off work, and I didn't pick up a needle for nearly 3 weeks. The frog has been living at my house for over a month now, I think I'm going to have to get some sort of repellent, anyone have the answer?

I will post more holiday pics soon.
